Stefano is a second generation fine Italian jeweler. Stefano's Grandfather co-founded the oldest jewelry manufacturing company in Vicenza; creating jewelry for King Emanuele di Sovoia and Queen Elena Petrovic -Njego. Stefano's sister's husband founded Oromeccanica in Italy.

Nancy's uncle co-founded Kestenman Bros.; one of the original jewelry factories in Providence, Rhode Island. Her uncle was the President of the Jewelers Board of Trade. Nancy's father was the Vice President of Kestenman Bros. for 45 years and past President of the Providence Jewelers Manufacturing Association.

Grando, Inc. was created in 1987 by Stefano and Nancy Grando.
